Our client is a €1bn turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects
Due to recent new project secured in the Netherlands our client is now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team based on-site in Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to Company Safety Management System, Environmental Health & Safety statutory provisions, and relevant legislation.
Develop and maintain Construction Stage Plans, method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Action, and H&S permits to work.
Monitor compliance with Project Execution Plans and ensure the implementation of Good Safety Practices across the organization.
Assist accident investigations and communicate reports promptly to the project management team.
Conduct ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments and manage the control of hazardous substances.
Perform regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
Ensure that safety interventions are completed and documented.
Maintain and manage records of statutory inspections and ensure they are available for project activities, tools, and equipment.
Take a proactive approach to project EHS requirements and ensure sub-contractors adhere to company EHS policies and procedures.
Compile and deliver toolbox talks as needed.
Maintain up-to-date Safety File documentation
Requirements
Relevant third level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
3+ years’ experience on large construction sites (Data Centres would be a significant advantage)
Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
